Wedding Party
Esther and I have been friends since high school, but have known each other since 1st grade! In high school we played basketball, dressed in similar colored polo shirts ("sisters"!), hung out at camp, the mall, and Disneyland together.

After college we became apartment-mates. I will always remember going clubbing and getting pumped up to slow jams. We would listen - on repeat - to "We Still". And Esther even helped me out of a few embarrassing moments. She always has great advice and we had many room hangouts where we would talk about boys and other issues.

Besides being an awesome referee and coach, Esther is someone who I enjoy hanging out with and who is a lot of fun. She is also super organized! I love getting dirty chais, boba, or food and having discussions on ways to word things or just sharing stories. She is the type of friend that knows what to say at the right time. I really appreciate her friendship, and I am super happy that she will be standing next to me on this special day!
If true lifelong friends exists, then Patrick is definitely my lifelong friend. I have known him all of his life. You see, our parents were friends when they immigrated to the United States. My parents gave birth to me on October 6, 1975 and it wasn't until 1 year, 5 months and 12 days later where I would have the true sense of the word, "brother from another mother."

Patrick, being a lifelong friend of mine, has seen me grow up from the times we had our weekly family gatherings where we would be playing guns, walking to the comic book store together, ride bikes to a nearby manmade river to get some bamboo sticks, and eventually going to the mall.

Patrick and I have amazingly stayed in touch throughout the years. Pat has known all my past girlfriends since we had grown up together. However, when he met Deanna, he was the first one to tell me that she was a keeper. He's never said anything like that before. It only made sense that the person I have known my whole life would know who I would be happy with for the rest of my life. I can't imagine anyone else being my best man other than Pat.
Not going to the high school I was assigned to go to, life started over when I started North High School. Somewhere along the road, I met Steve. Although I do not recollect on exactly the moment that we met, I do remember the best times of my high school years were when he was around. From going to Disneyland, Magic Mountain, and even watching movies.

Fast forward almost 20 years and Steve is a friend who I can just hang out with. I admit that I have learned a lot of my life's lessons from Steve. From him telling me what "demi-glace" meant in cooking; to telling me if anyone asks you a question you don't know, just BS the answer - the person who asked will never know if you told the truth or not. I live my life by those words.

Because of Steve's humor and the fact that he's always been there, I can't imagine him not being in my wedding party sharing this special moment with me.

Kylie is my cousin, who I can't believe just turned 21 this year! I remember when she was first born, and I was thinking wow 12 years apart..I'm not sure if I will be able to hang out with her at all, I might be too old. Well the old part might be right, but we have been able to hang out when she is back from college in Dallas. Our family dinners are always more fun when she is around (at least the girls have a chance against the guys, particularly Sam, when we play games).

The past few years have been fun, kayaking - was ahem .. interesting, beer pong (yeah Kylie killed me at it...I'm not very good) and our favorite.. Salad Bowl! Salad bowl is a game that Kylie, now regretfully, introduced us to (a drinking game from college) that my family now plays regularly - minus the drinking..kinda.

I am so glad that Kylie can make it back to be in our wedding! Family is so important to us and since our family is small, I am really glad that we are all very close.

Amy and I have known each other since high school, but have actually become closer after college. Amy has been a Kings fanatic since she was younger, so we enjoy going to games and talking about hockey. I enjoy hanging out with Amy, whether its at a Hockey game, Vegas, or even a cooking class!

Amy actually helped get me really into hockey. The first year Sam and I became season ticket holders we had tickets to Hockeyfest, which is where the players sign autographs and they have other Hockey activities. Sam couldn't go, so Amy was able to go with me. At the time, I didn't know anything about the players. So Amy told me who each of them were and we waited in line and took photos with them. That was when I found out how nice hockey players were and started to like hockey even more. I credit Amy for starting my list of hockey crushes - Jack Johnson being the first.

Amy is very easy to get along with, and super sweet. She always knows how to make everyone feel included, I totally admire that. I am so happy that she is able to be our wedding.

To this very day, I find it very difficult to call Andrew by his English name. When I first met DC, we were only in middle school. Who knew that spending the years with Dr. Crazy Omeze, and Good Ol' Mr. Goodman would create a friendship that would last over twenty three years!

We've spent the times since middle school battling it out on Street Fighter. He'll be proud on telling you that he kicked my ass in this game in the beginning. But because he beat me so badly, I was motivated to be good. And now it's my turn to proudly gloat that I taught him the theory of combos. Although we were Street Fighter competitors up until this day, the main point is that we learned how to be better together. Just as DC has inspired me to be better in Street Fighter, I'll let you in on a secret: he's always inspired me to always improve myself in the game of life.

Last But Definitely Not Least
Sherwin and I (Sam) met back in college. It wasn't until after college we realized how much we actually had in common. We are both Thai, we both love singing, and we both love hockey..

Anyone who knows Sherwin knows that he loves spending time with his friends and his calendar is ALWAYS full to prove it. Deanna and I were lucky that he was able to fit us in his schedule to be the Master of Ceremonies for our event.

Sherwin is always fun to be around. If you have a chance, ask him what team he roots for in hockey!
College life started when I met Kevin. Partying, drinking, stories and more stories all started when I met my partner in crime. We've been through a lot together.
Everyone has a friend that has seen you through your good times and your bad times. Everyone has a friend that you bond with during your college years. Everyone has a friend that you have common interests in. For many people, these three types of friends are three different people. As for me, I am lucky enough to have these three friends bundled up into one person.

Deanna and I are glad he has agreed to coordinate and be the contact person for our wedding.
